Our Story

The Christian Center began its ministry on July 1, 1948, under the guidance of founder Dan Demmin. Starting in a modest house in downtown Peoria, Illinois, the vision was clear: to create a sanctuary where Christians could flourish and those seeking faith could find Christ. After just one year, the Center moved to a larger facility at 2000 N. Knoxville Ave., opening its doors to the public on October 7, 1949. Over the decades, the Center has expanded significantly, culminating in the dedication of a new facility at 4100 N Brandywine Dr. in 1962. This expansion allowed for a broader range of community outreach programs, including a bowling center and various athletic activities.

Impacting Lives

The Christian Center is dedicated to sharing the transformative message of Jesus Christ in a safe and welcoming environment for all ages. Through quality athletic programs and recreational activities, the Center fosters spiritual growth and character development.
