Our Story

In 1984, eleven churches united to address the growing needs of the poor and needy in Taney County. Recognizing the challenges of resource duplication and the increasing demands on church staff, these churches collaborated with community leaders to establish Christian Action Ministries. This initiative aimed to create a structured outreach program, leading to the opening of a local food pantry in March 1985. Today, with a second location in Forsyth and mobile outreach distributions, Christian Action Ministries continues to serve the community with compassion and dedication.

Impact

Last year, Christian Action Ministries assisted over 40,000 residents of Taney County and distributed more than two million pounds of food.
