About The Chiselers
Founded in 1959, The Chiselers are dedicated to preserving, restoring, and advocating for Tampa’s historic H.B. Plant Hall, formerly known as the Tampa Bay Hotel. This monumental effort began with the painstaking task of chiseling away mortar to reveal the original tiles of this National Historic Landmark. Today, with nearly 270 members, The Chiselers organize events such as the annual Market and Walk for the Minarets, alongside private contributions and grants, to raise funds for the preservation of this Tampa treasure.
Impact of The Chiselers
With over $11 million raised, The Chiselers have made significant strides in restoring the 250,000 square foot building to the highest standards, contributing approximately 15,000 volunteer hours annually.
