Our Story
The Chinese-American Planning Council Home Attendant Program, Inc. (CPCHAP) is a leading nonprofit home care service agency in New York City, established in 1998. Licensed by the New York State Department of Health, CPCHAP has been dedicated to providing personalized home care services to over 2,400 recipients, employing more than 4,000 compassionate caregivers. This organization is a subsidiary of the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) and has built a strong reputation for delivering culturally and linguistically competent care to medically disabled, elderly, and physically disabled individuals across the five boroughs of New York City.
CPCHAP collaborates closely with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to create tailored care plans that meet the unique needs of each individual. Services are available in multiple languages, including Chinese, Spanish, English, and Korean, ensuring that all clients receive the support they need in a language they understand. The organization also manages the Consumer-Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP), which empowers clients to choose their caregivers, including family members and friends, fostering a sense of independence and comfort.
