Our Story
Founded in 1995, the Chin Human Rights Organization (CHRO) is dedicated to advocating for the rights of indigenous peoples in Myanmar. With a Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council since 2018, CHRO operates primarily in exile while maintaining an in-country presence since 2013. The organization is structured into two divisions: the Human Rights Division and the Humanitarian Division, responding to the urgent needs following the military coup of February 2021.
