Our Story

Founded in 1947 in a Baltimore church, Chimes Family of Services began as a special education day school for five students with intellectual developmental disabilities. Over the decades, it has evolved to meet the diverse needs of the community, now serving over 26,000 individuals across Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia, as well as in Israel. Chimes offers a comprehensive range of services, including residential support, vocational programs, and behavioral health services, ensuring that individuals with disabilities and behavioral health challenges can thrive.
