Our Story

ChildSafe Colorado was founded to address the urgent need for a comprehensive, community-based response to child sexual abuse. Starting with just ten victims and their families, it quickly became clear that many more children required support. Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1998, ChildSafe has since become Northern Colorado’s only comprehensive outpatient treatment program for victims of childhood abuse and their non-offending family members.

Impact

Every year, ChildSafe treats over 1,000 clients, offering therapy and support to help them heal from the trauma of childhood abuse. The organization utilizes a combination of group, individual, and family therapy to empower survivors and their families.
