Welcome to Zing Zumm: A Place for Imagination and Learning

Once upon a time, two visionary teachers recognized a pressing need in Onslow County. They dreamed of creating a children’s museum that would inspire creativity and provide educational opportunities beyond the confines of a traditional classroom. In 2005, their vision took flight with the support of ten civic-minded individuals, leading to the establishment of a nonprofit organization in 2008.

In 2017, the former Boomtown Furniture building was transformed into Zing Zumm, a vibrant hub for hands-on learning experiences. Officially opened on November 30, 2018, Zing Zumm has since welcomed over 50,000 visitors, offering a fun, family-friendly environment where children aged 0-10 can explore, play, and learn.
