Discover the Children’s Museum of Acadiana

Founded in 1990 by three visionary women, the Children’s Museum of Acadiana (CMA) has become a cornerstone of interactive learning in Lafayette, Louisiana. Housed in a historic building that once served as Heymann Grocery Store, the museum opened its doors in 1996 after extensive renovations driven by community support. Today, CMA stands as the longest-running children’s museum in the Acadiana region, welcoming approximately 44,600 visitors annually from 37 parishes.

Impacting Families Across Acadiana

The CMA is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore and learn through hands-on experiences. By engaging with interactive exhibits and educational programs, children discover their potential and broaden their horizons.
