Our Story

Inspired by a visit to the Denver Children’s Museum in 1980, Sharon Brier founded the Children’s Museum of Houston in 1981. With the help of community leaders and educators, the Museum has grown to serve over one million children and families each year, focusing on innovative, child-centered learning.
