Our Story
Founded in 1952 by Harry and Sylvia Brown after the loss of their daughter to leukemia, the Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan (BCFM) has dedicated itself to supporting families facing blood cancer challenges. Originally known as the Children’s Leukemia Foundation of Michigan, the organization expanded its mission in 2020 to encompass all types of blood cancers.
Impact
BCFM has positively impacted over 30,000 patients and their families, delivering more than 4,111 hours of emotional support in the past year alone. The foundation serves over 2,800 patients and 8,700 family members across Michigan.
