Founded in 1946 by Dr. Doris Allen in response to World War II, Children's International Summer Village (CISV) aims to foster peace education for children. The inaugural program in 1951 united children from eight countries, and today, CISV operates in over 69 countries, offering diverse international and local activities that promote intercultural friendship and understanding.
With around 180 international programs organized annually, CISV positively impacts thousands of children and families through educational activities centered on human rights, sustainability, diversity, and conflict resolution.
