The King's Daughters, a dedicated women's service organization, founded the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in 1961. With a mission to provide health, healing, and hope for all children, this organization has a rich history dating back to 1896, focusing on improving the lives of children through various health services and charitable care.

Impact

CHKD stands as the only full-service freestanding children’s hospital in Virginia, addressing the medical and surgical needs of children across greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and northeastern North Carolina. Thousands of children have received care, with many being service patients unable to pay.
