Our Story

The King's Daughters, a dedicated women's service organization, founded the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters in 1961. With a mission to provide health, healing, and hope for all children, this organization has been improving the lives of children in the community since 1896.

Impact

CHKD is the only full-service freestanding children’s hospital in Virginia, addressing the medical and surgical needs of children across greater Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and northeastern North Carolina.
