Our Story

The Children’s Guardian Fund was established in 1995 by dedicated Guardian ad Litem volunteers who recognized a simple yet profound need: to celebrate the birthdays of children in foster care. With just a $20 Publix gift card, these volunteers enabled caregivers to throw small birthday parties, complete with cake and candles. For many of these children, it was their first-ever birthday celebration. Over the years, CGF has evolved into a vital organization that provides funding for a wide range of opportunities, ensuring that children and teens in foster care experience normalcy and enrichment.

Funds raised by CGF make a significant difference in the lives of children in foster care, empowering volunteer GAL child advocates to represent each child's best interests effectively.
