The Children's Forum began in 1975 with a dedicated group of child care advocates striving to provide consistent quality care services for low-income children. Over the years, it has evolved to include contracted state services for early care and education, becoming a statewide, not-for-profit organization in 1989. Under the leadership of Dr. Phyllis Kalifeh until 2022, and now Erin Smeltzer, the organization continues to thrive.
