The Children’s Coalition of Aransas County emerged from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, uniting community leaders and children’s ministries to address urgent child care needs. Initially, Camp Harvey provided free child care for around 50 children in the aftermath of the disaster. As child care centers reopened, the Coalition's mission evolved to meet the ongoing needs of families in Aransas County.
In 2023, 2,319 children were positively impacted.
