Since its inception in 1996, Children’s Choice for Hearing and Talking (CCHAT) has been a beacon of hope for children who are deaf and hard of hearing in the greater Sacramento area. As the only listening and spoken language program north of San Francisco, CCHAT serves over 30 school districts, providing essential services that enable children to thrive in mainstream educational settings.

Impact

CCHAT has successfully equipped hundreds of children with the speaking, listening, and communication skills necessary for lifelong success. Through professional classroom instruction, daily speech therapy, and audiological support, students aged birth to 3rd grade are empowered to lead productive lives.
