Our Story

Founded in 1970 by a group of dedicated working parents, the Children’s Center of Brookline emerged from a vision to create a high-quality childcare center. This cooperative structure allowed parents, staff, and volunteers to work together in managing the center, fostering a strong community. Over the years, the center has evolved, now operating at a single site and serving approximately 30 toddlers and preschoolers. Celebrating 50 years of service in 2020, the center is recognized as an innovative leader in the childcare field, implementing a non-sexist curriculum and engaging parents in their children's education.
