In August 1993, a family's life changed forever when their five-year-old son, Jeff, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). The Luttrell family faced the unimaginable, navigating the complexities of childhood cancer and its relentless challenges. Over the years, Jeff endured multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, and a bone marrow transplant, only to face a secondary cancer diagnosis at the age of 21. Despite these trials, Jeff's journey is a testament to resilience and hope.

Recognizing the urgent needs of families like theirs, the Luttrells founded the Children's Cancer Network (CCN) in 2005. This nonprofit organization was born from a vision to provide financial, psychosocial, and educational support to families grappling with the harsh realities of childhood cancer. The inspiration came from a heart-wrenching experience during a hospital visit, where a grieving family struggled to find the means to return home after losing their child. This pivotal moment ignited a passion to help others facing similar hardships.

Since its inception, CCN has made a significant impact, providing over $4.8 million in financial assistance and support to more than 800 Arizona families each year. The organization offers essential resources such as gas and food cards, wigs, bus passes, and health and wellness activities, ensuring that families can focus on what truly matters—their child's health and well-being.
