Children’s Cancer Center
EIN: 59-1779035 · Tampa, FL
Our Story
Founded in 1974 by Mac and Cecile Burnett, who lost their daughter Helen to leukemia, and Dr. Janifer M. Judisch, the Children’s Cancer Center was created to alleviate the stress of coping with a child’s life-threatening disease. The founders believed that when a child is diagnosed, the entire family is affected, leading to programs that support all family members.
Impact
Currently, the Children’s Cancer Center assists over 5,000 children and their families through 30 dedicated support programs and services, offering emotional, financial, and educational support during their challenging journeys.
