Our Story
In 1985, former Congressman Robert E. “Bud” Cramer initiated a movement to create a better system for helping abused children, leading to the establishment of Children’s Advocacy Centers. The Northeastern Pennsylvania center began operations in 1998 and has since served over 14,000 children through a multidisciplinary approach to child abuse intervention.
Impact
In 2020, CAC/NEPA provided 1,387 child abuse intervention services to 659 children and adolescents, including 549 forensic interviews and 513 medical exams.
