Our Story

Founded in 1995 by philanthropists Summer Tompkins Walker and the late Lois Pavlow, Children of Shelters aims to provide educational and enrichment opportunities for children living in transitional shelters in San Francisco. With the support of generous donors, COS has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children over the years.

Currently, Children of Shelters serves over 500 children, enhancing their quality of life through educational support, empowerment activities, and nutritional assistance.
