Foster America was founded in 2016, inspired by successful fellowship models in various sectors. Operating across 17 states and territories, it has recruited and trained diverse leaders to spearhead 63 innovative projects in child welfare. In 2023, Foster America expanded its mission to actively drive transformation, focusing on reducing child welfare system involvement.
