Child First

Our Story

Established in 1996 by Baltimoreans United in Leadership Development (BUILD), Child First Authority was born from a community-wide call for safe and productive learning environments for children. As a dedicated partner in eight community schools and an out-of-school-time provider at four additional schools, Child First serves approximately 1,100 students in after-school programming and supports 3,400 students in total.

Impact

For 25 years, Child First Authority has been committed to building young minds and bodies, positively impacting children and families across 14 schools from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade.
