Our Story

Founded in 1937 by Jesse Irvin Overholtzer, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) began with a vision to reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Overholtzer, inspired by the belief that even young children can understand and accept the Gospel, dedicated his life to this mission. Today, CEF has grown into the largest evangelistic outreach to children worldwide, with a strong presence in Nebraska since its incorporation in 1960. Currently, CEF of Nebraska operates six chartered chapters, aiming to establish 25 full-time missionaries in the state within the next five years.

Impact

CEF's vision is to provide the 250,000 elementary-age children in Nebraska the opportunity to hear and respond to the saving message of Jesus Christ. The goal is to reach 20,000 children by 2020, ensuring that every child has the chance to learn about the Gospel.
