Our Story

The Child and Family Institute of Fairfield County, established in 1996 by Pamela Samaha, LCSW, has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and families in Fairfield County. With a focus on personalized solutions, CFI creates a relaxed atmosphere for mental health treatment. Notably, the organization pioneered the Wilderness Based Therapeutic Program, which has been transforming the lives of children and youth facing emotional and behavioral challenges for over fifteen years.

Our Impact

Each year, CFI serves approximately 400 children and their families, providing comprehensive and innovative mental health services. The organization has earned a stellar reputation within the mental health community, thanks to the unwavering support from local leaders and community members.
