Our Story
Child Advocates CASA of Red River is part of a national movement that began in 1977, initiated by Judge David Soukup in Seattle. Recognizing the need for informed decisions regarding the welfare of children in the court system, he enlisted community volunteers to serve as advocates. These dedicated individuals became the 'voice in court' for abused and neglected children, ensuring their best interests were prioritized. This successful model has since spread across the nation, with CASA of Red River continuing this vital work in Archer, Clay, Montague, and Wichita Counties. By training community volunteers to advocate for children, CASA of Red River plays a crucial role in helping them find safe, permanent homes.
