Our Story
The DeKalb County CASA Program was established in 1990 to serve the Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit. Originally founded by a Child Advocate Attorney, it transitioned to a full-time program in 1997 with the support of a National CASA grant. Operating under the Child Advocate Network, Inc., this nonprofit organization is dedicated to advocating for children in foster care.
Impact
Every day, 33 children in Georgia face confirmed abuse or neglect. In September 2022, DeKalb County CASA's dedicated staff and volunteers served 578 out of 838 children in foster care, making a significant impact in their lives.
