Our Story
Founded in 1970 by Father Raymond Talbot, Chief Seattle Club has been a beacon of hope for the Native Seattle community for over 50 years. Initially established as a meal service, the organization has evolved to provide essential services such as vocational rehabilitation, temporary and permanent housing, and community arts, all rooted in Native values.
Impact
In 2020, Chief Seattle Club served 1,374 unduplicated members from over 200 tribal nations across Turtle Island. The organization is dedicated to addressing the homelessness crisis in Seattle, where Native peoples represent 15% of the homeless population.
