Our Story

Founded in 1996 by dedicated local educators and community members, Chico Country Day School (CCDS) transitioned from a dependent charter school to an independent 501(c)(3) organization in 2004. With a commitment to fostering a learning environment that promotes literacy, culture, and lifelong learning, CCDS emphasizes academic excellence and social responsibility.

Impact

CCDS engages over 580 students with a rigorous, standards-based curriculum and a Project-based Learning approach, nurturing self-confidence and compassion while respecting the natural world.
