Our Story

The Chicago Bible Society was established in 1840 to ensure that everyone, especially those facing financial hardship, incarceration, or hospitalization, has access to the Scriptures. Over nearly 200 years, this organization has adapted to the community's needs, continuing its mission through various impactful programs.

In the past decade, over 2,000 inmates have graduated from the Project Philip Bible study program at Cook County Jail, showcasing the commitment to providing spiritual resources to those in need.
