Our Story

Chhahari, Inc. USA was founded in 2007 by Christine Casey after a transformative trekking trip to Nepal in 2004. Witnessing the struggles of hungry and sick children ignited a passion to make a difference. Partnering with Mr. Toya Niraula and Mrs. Ranju Niraula, an NGO was established in Nepal, flourishing for 12 years and providing essential education, healthcare, and self-sustaining opportunities. Although the project closed in March 2020 due to unforeseen circumstances, a new initiative began in 2021, funding Chhahari Education & Opportunities to continue this vital work.
