About Chesapeake Film Festival

Founded in 2008, the Chesapeake Film Festival aims to entertain, empower, educate, and inspire diverse audiences by showcasing exceptional independent films. Located on the beautiful Eastern Shore, the festival prioritizes films that address environmental and social justice issues.

Impact of the Festival

In 2024, the festival received over 200 film submissions from more than 15 countries, presented a 3-day live festival featuring 40 curated independent films, and launched a mini-environmental film festival.
