About Chesapeake Feline Association
Founded in 2009, the Chesapeake Feline Association (CFA) is an all-volunteer, non-profit, no-kill feline rescue organization. Initially established by a group of dedicated women, CFA began its mission by trapping free-roaming cats in public areas such as shopping centers and parks. This grassroots effort evolved into a comprehensive Trap-Neuter-Return program aimed at curbing the overpopulation crisis of cats in Cecil County, Harford County, and surrounding areas in Maryland.
Our Mission
With a commitment to the rescue, care, and adoption of homeless felines, CFA has provided a safe haven for thousands of cats. The shelter in North East, Maryland, serves as a temporary home for adoptable animals until they find their forever families. For those who remain unadoptable, CFA ensures they live out their lives surrounded by love and attention from compassionate volunteers.
Impact
Since its inception, CFA has successfully placed over 4,000 fully vetted felines into loving homes, significantly contributing to feline population control through spay and neuter initiatives.
