Our Story
The Chavez Family story began in a small farming community near Yuma, Arizona, where Librado Chavez and Juana Estrada married and raised six children. After facing hardships during the Great Depression, the family migrated to California. Inspired by the injustices faced by farmworkers, Cesar Chavez founded the National Farm Workers Association. In 1998, Chavez Family Vision, Inc. was established to continue this legacy of social justice and promote positive changes in the community through volunteerism and public action.
