Our Story

Founded in 1895, the Charlton School began as the Charlton Industrial Farm School, established through the generosity of John S. Hawley, a successful candy manufacturer. His vision was to create a safe haven for boys experiencing homelessness. After years of dedication, the school transitioned in 1955 to empower young women, providing them with the tools they need to succeed.

Impact

In 2022, the Charlton School celebrated a remarkable milestone: 100 percent of its students were voluntarily enrolled, showcasing the effectiveness of its programs and the strong support system in place.
