Our Story

Since 2001, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Drug Free Coalition has united over 50 businesses, agencies, and individuals to combat substance use among youth in Mecklenburg County. Originally formed by concerned citizens, CMDFC transitioned from the Mecklenburg County Healthy Carolinians Substance Abuse Task Force to focus on data-driven awareness and advocacy against substance abuse.

Impact

CMDFC has achieved a remarkable 50% reduction in non-compliance with alcohol purchase laws, earning national recognition for its effective substance abuse prevention strategies.
