Founded in 2002, Charlotte Mason Community School (CMCS) was established to bring Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy to inner-city Detroit. Originally known as Ambleside Community School, it responded to local families' need for quality education. Over the years, CMCS has evolved, expanding its curriculum and community involvement, becoming a significant voice in Detroit’s educational reform.
CMCS aims to provide a nurturing environment where children can grow in mind, body, and spirit, developing individuals of character and integrity who can positively contribute to their communities.
