Charlotte Garden Club

About the Charlotte Garden Club

Established in 1926 by civic leader J.B. Ivey, the Charlotte Garden Club is one of North Carolina's oldest garden clubs. Its mission is to expand the knowledge and love of gardening through educational programs and community projects led by experts in horticulture and design.

Impact

The club sponsors a $1,000 horticultural scholarship each semester at Central Piedmont Community College and volunteers at the McGill Rose Garden, helping new gardeners build confidence and fostering community engagement.
