Our Story
Founded over 30 years ago in the St Ives Country Club community, the Charity Guild of Johns Creek began as a small group of dedicated women led by Ruth Marchese. Their mission was simple yet profound: to serve local charities and uplift those in need. Initially, members gathered in their homes to assemble supplies for various charitable projects, collaborating with North Fulton Community Charities to provide essential goods and services.
As the organization grew, so did its outreach. The Charity Guild expanded its efforts to include Easter Baskets for children at STAR House and hygiene kits for young adults in the CHRIS 180 programs. Through ambitious fundraising initiatives, the Guild has successfully raised over $1,000,000, directly benefiting numerous local charities.
In late 2017, the organization rebranded to the Charity Guild of Johns Creek, Inc. to better reflect its community impact and broaden its member and sponsor base. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Guild continues to thrive, making a significant difference in the lives of children and families in the area.
