Our Story
The Holy Cross Alumni Anti-Racism Alliance (CHARA) was born from a heartfelt conversation between two alumni, Maria Amendolia and Fred Givens, in response to the tragic murder of George Floyd. This pivotal moment ignited a movement aimed at addressing systemic racism and creating a supportive environment for Holy Cross students and alumni of color. With a growing network of over 300 engaged alumni, CHARA is committed to fostering meaningful dialogues and driving positive change.
