Our Story

Changing the Gray Street Outreach was founded by Aleaka Tate after the tragic loss of her teenage son to gun violence in Anchorage, Alaska. This heartbreaking event ignited a passion to create the 'X' project, a movement dedicated to removing illegal guns from at-risk youth and supporting the homeless. The organization focuses on bettering communities in Washington, Oregon, and Alaska by providing mentorship, food, clothing, and essential resources.
