Founded in April 2013 by Raymond Samson and the DeSimone brothers, Challenger Athletics was inspired by the desire to create sports opportunities for children with physical and learning disabilities. The first program, Challenger Lacrosse, launched with overwhelming participation, paving the way for a variety of sports programs that foster community involvement.
