Chalky’s Cat Crusade Inc. was inspired by a remarkable cat named Chalky, who transformed the life of a dedicated rescuer. In July 2011, a pure white cat appeared outside a home in Tampa Heights, covered in wounds and dirt. This cat, later named Chalky, introduced the rescuer to the world of Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR). After a long journey of healing and trust, Chalky became a beloved indoor cat, living a happy life until his passing in 2016. His legacy lives on through the mission of Chalky’s Cat Crusade, which is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of homeless cats in the Tampa area.
