Century Housing Corporation began as a state agency during the planning of the Century Freeway in Los Angeles County. Established to create affordable homes for community members displaced by the freeway, it transitioned into a nonprofit in 1995, continuing its mission to finance, build, and operate affordable housing.
As California’s highest-volume Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in affordable housing, Century Housing has financed and developed thousands of affordable and workforce homes across the state, promoting equity and sustainable neighborhoods.
