Our Story

Founded in 1981 by women garment workers and Chicana activists, La Mujer Obrera is dedicated to creating communities defined by women. This local independent organization focuses on basic human rights, including employment, housing, education, and political liberty, particularly for marginalized women workers of Mexican heritage.

Impact
