Empowering Migrant Workers Since 2005

Centro de los Derechos del Migrante (CDM) was founded in 2005 by Rachel Micah-Jones, who witnessed firsthand the injustices faced by migrant workers in the United States. After meeting with her clients in Mexico, she realized the urgent need for a binational organization dedicated to advocating for the rights of these vulnerable workers. CDM has since grown into a powerful transnational agent of change, with headquarters in Mexico City and offices in Juxtlahuaca, Oaxaca, and Baltimore, Maryland.

Impacting Lives Across Borders

CDM has met with over 38,000 migrant workers, ensuring they are informed of their rights before arriving in the U.S. The organization has successfully recovered more than $40 million in unpaid wages and established crucial legal precedents to protect migrants throughout their journey. By providing education and resources, CDM empowers workers to stand up against exploitation.
