Our Story
Centre Stage began as a dream in the heart of founder Keely Milliken. Growing up in Monrovia, Keely recognized the lack of performance outlets for children. In the fall of 1999, she started teaching voice lessons in her living room, quickly expanding from four to over twenty students. In 2000, Centre Stage was established to provide performance opportunities, raising funds for Broadway shows and the annual musical review called LIGHTS. Over the years, countless students have passed through Centre Stage, moving on to successful careers in music, theater, and beyond. The motto, 'Centre Stage kids don’t get in trouble, they’re in rehearsal,' reflects the nurturing environment that fosters lifelong friendships and artistic growth.
