CVMB Organizing Institute

Our Story

In 2020, the Central Valley Movement Building conducted a SWOT analysis to develop a new five-year plan. This analysis revealed critical issues such as high turnover rates among organizers, attacks on progressive organizations, and the urgent need for consistent training and support. In response, the CVMB launched the CVMB Organizing Institute, dedicated to training Field Organizers and supporting the organizing efforts of CVMB.

Impact

The CVMB Organizing Institute empowers marginalized communities to become leaders, focusing on educational justice and restorative practices to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline.
